Bali Reclaims Title as Best Island at the DestinAsian Readers’ Choice Awards 2025 | Gita Blog Sport

Gitablogsport.com - Bali once again achieves remarkable recognition in the global tourism scene. The Island of the Gods has been officially crowned “The Best Island” at the 2025 DestinAsian Readers’ Choice Awards.
This prestigious accolade was accepted by Ni Luh Puspa, the Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, during a ceremony held at Ayana Resort Hotel Jimbaran on Friday evening, March 7.

Bali outshined several well-known travel destinations across the Asia-Pacific region, including the Maldives, Boracay, Phuket, Phu Quoc, Palawan, Koh Samui, Langkawi, Penang, and Lombok. In her acceptance speech, Ni Luh Puspa expressed gratitude for this outstanding achievement.

“This award highlights that Bali remains the top choice for international tourists visiting Indonesia,” she stated.

This isn’t Bali’s first time receiving such honors. Last year, during the same event held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Singapore, Bali was also awarded the title of Best Island. Notably, in 2023, Bali even surpassed Paris in the Travellers’ Choice Award for Destination.

Ni Luh Puspa dedicated this recognition to the people of Bali, local government, and all tourism industry stakeholders who consistently preserve Bali’s natural beauty and rich culture.

We hope this accomplishment will inspire other tourist destinations across Indonesia to continue improving their services and overall quality,” she added.

She also encouraged collaboration among all parties to support tourism development nationwide.
The DestinAsian Readers’ Choice Awards is a prestigious annual event that ranks top travel destinations across the Asia-Pacific region, based on votes from the readers of DestinAsian magazine. The award has been held for 18 consecutive years and serves as a benchmark for quality among preferred global destinations.

The Indonesian government remains committed to promoting high-quality and sustainable tourism. Last year, Bali was projected to contribute up to 50% of the national target of 14.3 million international tourist arrivals. To achieve this, the government has continued to expand international flight routes and implement various strategic initiatives.

With this latest recognition, Bali is expected to attract even more global travelers and deliver greater economic benefits to local communities.
