The 23 year-old content creator appeared calm while at her salon, which also served as her home, when she was approached by an unknown individual.
In the video, a man’s voice is heard asking, “Hi, Valeria?”, to which she simply replied, “Yes.”
Moments later, she muted the live audio and shortly after, the tragedy unfolded.
Valeria was shot in the abdomen. The video shows her clutching her stomach and gradually bending over in pain.
This recording now serves as the last known footage before her death, and authorities are investigating the incident as a case of femicide a gender-based murder of a woman.
The fatal shooting occurred around 6:30 p.m. local time. Emergency services were immediately called via 911. However, by the time police and paramedics arrived at the scene, Valeria had already passed away.
The Jalisco State Prosecutor’s Office confirmed that no suspects have been identified yet, and the investigation is still ongoing.
On social media, Valeria’s followers expressed profound sorrow and called for justice.
